A usual Day [[private]] « Thread Started on Jan 20, 2008, 5:37pm »
The swipe of her card in the little sign in machine echoed in the back area as Alex signed in. She sighed and pinned her little nametag to her nice white shirt. The shirt she wore supported her favorite store, the one she worked at, Hollister. It has the word Hollister in big, Navy Blue shades of color. She smiled and pushed the door open to walk to the stock area. She often worked at a register, but today she would go around the store, giving people advise on what to buy and what not to buy. Alex had amazing fashion sense. Slowly, she walked twards the jean section. She had on a pair of Hollister dark jeans and her favorite shoes, white and navy blue Adio's. She had many, many pairs of Adio's to go with her many outfits. Alex was rich. Very, very rich. Her family had sent her here to pay more attention on her studies, but that didn't really matter since it is the same here as it was in Florida and California, the two places she has lived most of her life. Attaregio Prep was one of the largest schools and a very good school for those wanting to become lawyers like Alex. As she rounded the corner of the jeans section. She noticed a daughter, maybe 14, arguing with her mother about a pair of jeans. Alex smiled and walked up to them. Well! What do you have? Size 3, dark, Underground Soul branded? Very good choice. As you should see, I am wearing Underground Soul's, but obviously not a size three. Alex and the girl laughed while the mother looked at Alex annoyed. She wasn't fat, as a matter of fact, Alex wore a size 7. That was small for a girl of her age. So, do you need any help with anything? Alex asked the lady and the girl. We are fine! The mother said rudely. Alright. Just remember that those jeans will last longer and the color won't fade. Plus! They are cheap for their quality! Alex smiled at the girl, then walked off to the shirt section. She looked around happily at the amazing shirts Hollister sold. Should she get one? No! Two! Alex sighed as a lady walked up to her with 3 shirts in her hands. Yes. Alex asked. Sorry, but which do you think would look best on my 16 year old? She looks like you, but she has brown hair. Alex smiled and listened well as the lady described her daughter and asked for her advise. She looked over the shirts. One was much like the one Alex was wearing, but it was white with red letters. Alex looked at the others, a pink one and a purple one. She sighed. I'm sorry, but I don't know your daughter, so maybe you should just...pick the one with the colors she likes. Or, think about other shirts she wears and what they look like. I'm sorry I can't be of more help. I really am sorry miss. Do let me know if you need anything else though! Alex smiled as the lady walked away. Where was she? Oh yea! Which shirt should she buy....

Ashley walked into the dark, beach-themed store that was Hollister, wearing a pair of black cargo pants, her black and pink checkered Vans, and a light grey AFI t-shirt over a black long-sleve shirt. Hollister was the emblem for preps and girly girls alike. She absolutely hated this store. She hated the clothes, she hated the snobs who shopped there, and the snobs who... worked there? In the shirt section, she saw her. Alexandria Hikory. The 'Queen's little sister. Wait a minute, she’s rich. Why does she have to work? And why is she working here? Well, it was really no surprise. Ashley worked in Hot Topic, so why shouldn’t Alexandria work in Hollister? Asking that question would be like asking, Why do ladders have steps? That’s what they were made for.
She decided not to bother speaking to her. She just wanted to get in there, get Kristena’s birthday present, and get out. She walked around, looked at some jeans, and found about four pairs that were Kristena’s size. She didn’t know which one she would like better. But then, she didn’t know why Kristena liked them at all. They were so… tight and… ugh! She studied them for a moment, and then put them down. I’ll just get her a shirt or something. It should be easier to pick one of those. She started to walk that way, but hesitated, knowing good and well that Alexandria was in there. She thought again for a moment, She doesn’t even know me, so why should I care? She walked in and browsed through the stacks of neatly folded t-shirts that all said Hollister. God, don’t they have a shirt that doesn’t say that? Opps. She just said that out loud…

Alex turned her head quickly twards the words of another girl that was in the shirt section. God, don’t they have a shirt that doesn’t say that? She looked the dark haired, pale skinned girl over through slitted eyes, not really happy with the words that graced her ears. Um, excuse me, if you don't like the shirts here, you can leave. Like her sister, Alex had no problem being rude or harsh to anyone. As she spoke, she waved her hands and moved her head, sending her long, beautifully wavy blond hair flying in every which way. When she was done speaking, Alex just stood in that popular girl stance, irritated with the girls stupidity. Who was this girl! She did not have the right to just, walk into Hollister, the store love of Alex's life, and say that! Duh! It was Hollister! Of course it was going to have the name of the store on the shirt. Alex blinked her beautifully light blue, unique eyes that were covered perfectly in black mascara and black eyeliner. The only other makeup she had on that day? A light glittery eyeshadow that made her truely sparkel. It really was amazing. Who DIDN'T want to be Alex or Casey. Not two of the most popular, but THE most popular girls in Attaregio. Oh well, no one would ever replace them unless Alex or Casey made it happen.
Alex rolled her eyes in frustration at the black haired girl and turned around to pick a beautiful red shirt from the wall with white letters spelling out H O L L I S T E R on it. She smiled at the girl, then pushed her out of the way to get to a white shirt with purple H O L L I S T E R letters on it. She was all about the colors and patterns. Alex looked around and spotted a navy blue shirt with nice orange letters, once again spelling out H O L L I S T E R. Alex sighed as she walked back to face the girls. If you have an issue of how they market their clothing, take it up with someone who cares, not those who would rather be eating a 2000 calorie starbucks lattee on the beach. She spoke in a low harsh tone, her face fairly close to the girls. She was taller then the girl, not by a lot, but she surely was. Alex, and Casey were both fairly tall and lean. Alex, and Casey liked it that way. Once again, Alex pushed past the girl, harshly shoving her aside and walking off to the cash register. She set down her clothes, talked to a prett brunette, then giggled and pointed at the black haired, pale skinned girl who had no right to be in the store.

The second Alex shoved past her, Ashley shoved back. She looked at Alex when she got up in her face and gave her a fake smile. Sorry, I guess I just didn’t realize that the people who make these clothes are probably just as stupid as you are. They can’t help but be so unimaginative that the only thing they can think of to put on their shirts is their own store’s name. She smiled again then turned away, rolling her eyes in disgust and annoyance. Sure, she may be the most popular girl in school, but they weren’t in school, and she had no right to talk about her that way.
After Alex had walked away, Ashley continued to look through the shirts. Kristena owes me big time for this. She said it more to herself this time, wishing she had done so before. The poppy music made her sick, so she pulled out her iPod and turned to something, well, not so poppy. Die Romantic by Aiden flooded her ears and drowned out Hilary Duff or Jessica Simpson, or whoever the crap they were playing throughout the store. It also drowned out the sound of Alex talking to one of her friends. She could have sworn she heard giggling, but paid no attention to it. She finally got sick of being in the store and grabbed a size 5 t-shirt from one of the racks, not caring what it looked like. She walked up to the register and set it down for the cashier to ring up.

Alex watched with a smile as the girl, whom she had known no name, set down a nice T on the counter for the register to ring up. Alex took a step back, then pushed the register door and walked back behind the counter, giggling with her friend as she moved to a register to help another lady. Alex soon finished there and turned around to watch her friend Kelsy ring up the rude girl. The little sound clicked and the charge came up for the shirt. That will be $22.77 Alex heard Kelsy say. She smirked and waited for the dark haired girl to have a sudden outburst about the 'stupid shirt's' price. She held in laughter as she imagined it. Oh the joy of embaresment. Alex sighed and shook her head. She said goodbye to Kelsy, grabbed her beautiful little white purse, and pushed the register door. It was time for home. Slowly but surely, Alex made her way to the back area. The day went by so quickly! Oh well, she swiped her card once in the back area. The machine beeped as to let her know she was officially no longer on her working hours. Alex smiled and looked down at the bag of amazing shirts she had gotten today. Smiling, Alex exited the back way and walked out into a small parking lot. She smirked as she approched her silver corvette. Pressing the button on her main key, the car doors unlocked and she opened the drivers side. After placing her bag and purse on the passenger seat, Alex slid into her own seat and closed the door. Gently, she pushed the key into the slot and turned it. She would go to Zen's Sushi place to eat out. Maybe someone would be there that she could get to know. Who knows. Alex smiled and put her car into reverse, pressing the gas, and pulling out. She turned the wheal and was gone. Oh the joy of having a fast car.

Alex pulled 23 dollars out of her bag and gave it to the cashier who then gave her her change. She grabbed the bag and walked out of the store. She trotted across the parking lot and merrily walked towards her car. It was a 2008 black Ford Focus with the new Sync system. She opened the back door and tossed in the t-shirt. She moved into the front seat and pressed one of the buttons on the steering wheel. Play Artist Angels and Airwaves, she said. The music filled the car and calmed her down. She pressed another button. Call Kristena.
Ring… ring… ring… Hi! You’ve got my machine, so scream at it, not me.
Hey, K. It’s Ashley. I hope you know that you’re gonna have to buy me something really expensive after the crap I just went through to get your present. Talk to you later. She ended the call and cranked up her car. She was a little bit hungry. I’ll go get some sushi. Chances are, Alex won’t be there. She probably thinks eating raw fish is gross. She pulled out of the mall parking lot and drove towards Zen’s Sushi.
